Public Image Ltd Tour Australia For The First Time In 20 Years

7 December 2012 | 11:22 am | Dan Condon

The post-punk pioneers are well and truly back in action.

They released their first record in two decades earlier this year, with This Is PiL satisfying the growing hunger of Public Image Limited's many fans that had been building since their 2009 reformation and now Aussie fans get to see the band in action for the first time in a really bloody long time when they hit our shores next April.

Led by Sex Pistols vocalist John Lydon (formerly known as Johnny Rotten), PiL formed in 1978 and quickly established themselves as true innovators in the punk rock scene. Constantly evolving, thanks in part to their ever rotating line up, the band remained revered right up until they called it quits in 1992, but even after that their influence was stamped all over a whole swag of modern rock'n'roll records.

The band reformed in 2009 to embark on a world tour (that didn't quite make it to us) and with the aforementioned new record under their belts, the band have started an entirely new chapter in their already astonishing career. We get to be a part of that chapter when the band hit Australia for three shows in April.

Dates are as follows and tickets are available from Thursday 13 December.
