Princess Leia Coming To Supanova Expo

Star Wars fanatics, get excited! The one and only Princess Leia or should we say Carrie Fisher, is coming to Australia this June.

The actress will visit as part of the pop culture expo that is Supanova, held next month in Sydney and Perth. She'll join serial Aus visitor David Hasselhoff, Superman's Margot Kidder and Star Trek: Into Darkness actor Karl Urban as the main attractions at the event. There's also a bunch of other sci-fi, anime and comic book stars on the bill.

Fisher became an overnight sensation when she appeared as the iconic character back in the very first Star Wars film in 1977. While that character is no doubt her biggest and most known, she's also carved out a pretty impressive career as a novelist and performance artist in between her acting roles.

We can't confirm whether Fisher will appear in her risque Princess Leia get up, but somehow we don't think that's going to stop those crazy Star Wars kids from missing this one. You can catch her in Sydney on Saturday 22 & Sunday 23 June at Sydney Olympic Park and on Saturday 29 & Sunday 30 June at the Claremont Showgrounds in Perth. More info...
