It'll cost you $1,500 to sit between Gillard and Marieke Hardy

The Prime Minister Julia Gillard has confirmed that she will attend a dinner for Save Live Australia's Music [SLAM] as part of the body's crowd-funding drive.

SLAM – formed for 2010's SLAM Rally in support of Melbourne venue The Tote – are looking to raise funds to avoid asking for government funding. One of the crowd funding options for punters is a ticket at 'Marieke Hardy's Dream Dinner' – which will set you back $1,500.

For that price through, you'll get presenter and blogger Hardy as well as Gillard, MasterChef judge Matt Preston and TV veteran Andrew Denton. It will take place at the renowned Vue De Monde restaurant.

SLAM co-founder Helen Marcou said today that Hardy “has really risen to the task… Who wouldn't love to be a fly on the wall at this great occasion to witness a 'woman of calibre', such as the Prime Minister discuss the events of the day with Matt, Andrew and Marieke.”

The crowdfunding drive passed its target mark but will continue to raise funds for the remaining 53 days of its period. Other opportunities and items available are copies of Gotye's Perfect Tripod project, music mentoring sessions and a Meredith Music Festival/Golden Plains golden ticket.
