Primal Scream Announce Sideshows

Heading to Australia for Meredith Music Festival in December, Primal Scream have now announced sideshows that will see them visiting all major cities across Australia, proudly presented by us, SPA!

The Scottish outfit last toured the country in 2011, which saw them they play Screamadelica in full. And this year, punters will be given a glimpse into the future of Scream, as frontman Gillespie has revelead that the band's new album is in its final leg of completion. The upcoming record features input from a vast number of musicians and producers including Andrew Weatherall, David Holmes, producer Tom Elmhirt (Amy Winehouse, Adele) and My Bloody Valentine guitarist Kevin Shields.

“No, it doesn't sound anything like Screamadelica,” Gillespie explained to The Irish Times. “It has to be relevant to now. I've got something to say and we're going to f---ing say it.”

Though the band has experienced line-up changes - with bassist Mani leaving the outfit to reform The Stone Roses, and Debbie Googe from My Bloody Valentine taking over bassist duties - Primal Scream will be returning to Aus, playing the following shows. Tickets go on sale Friday 7 September.
