PREMIERE: Morgan Evans Causes Havoc In ‘Tornado’ Film Clip

New video from Newcastle songwriter

More Morgan Evans Morgan Evans

Newcastle songwriter Morgan Evans is on a roll after releasing his debut self-titled album earlier this year, and now one of the record's best tracks – Like A Tornado – has a film clip.

Evans launched the record with a festival-stealing performance at the CMC Rocks The Hunter festival, playing through one of the storms that battered the festival. One of the brightest hopes of Australia's resurgent country music scene, the Jedd Hughes-produced album is expected to catapult Evans onto the American radar where he has already made a number of inroads.

The video was filmed in a derelict house in his hometown and directed by fellow Novocastrian Brian Daley of Enigma.

As well as debuting at #1 on the ARIA Country Albums chart, Evans picked up three CMC Awards this year – for Artist, Male Artist and Video Of The Year.

For all you footy fans, Evans also recently wrote a team song for the Newcastle Knights rugby league side.
