PREMIERE: Lighten Your Day With Kasey Chambers' 'Wheelbarrow'

The single is the first taste from the country icon's forthcoming 10th LP

More Kasey Chambers Kasey Chambers Profile

Disarming and delightful country-music veteran Kasey Chambers has unveiled the gorgeous video for Wheelbarrow, the first single from her forthcoming tenth studio LP, Bittersweet, which is due for release on August 29.

Although the single – a banjo-streaked, lurching, gritty number driven alluringly by Chambers' distinctive vocal work – doesn't officially hit the airwaves until Monday, theMusic.com.au has the incredible privilege of being able to bring you the exclusive premiere airing of the song's accompanying clip, which was directed by Renny Wijeyamohan and shot among the gorgeous Southern Highlands of New South Wales.

Have a gander at the video below, a black-and-white narrative that follows a woman, her man, some steamy encounters, and, of course, her eponymous wheelbarrow.

Bittersweet was recorded at the famed Studios 301 in Byron Bay and marks Chambers' first solo album in four years. On it, she joins forces with renowned producer Nick DiDia, who has worked previously with esteemed acts such as Pearl Jam, Bruce Springsteen and Powderfinger, and even better, although it's still a little more than a month away from being available for purchase, you can pre-order your digital or physical copy (JB Hi-Fi/Sanity) to get nice and prepared for August 29.
