Former franchise star Ricardo Medina Jr turned himself in to police following the incident
Former Power Rangers franchise star Ricardo Medina Jr has been arrested in California after allegedly stabbing his roommate to death before calling 911 himself.
As News Corp reports, via TMZ, Medina — who gained fame as Red Ranger Cole Evans in 2002's Power Rangers: Wild Force, as well as villain Deker in the later Power Rangers: Samurai — was allegedly engaged in an argument with his roommate, Joshua Sutter, when he and his girlfriend took refuge from the conflict in a bedroom. According to reports, Sutter then apparently forced open the door before the alleged stabbing took place, Medina accused of piercing the man through the abdomen once.
Medina, 37, is reported to then have called 911 before being taken into custody and charged over Sutter's death. At the time of writing, he remains in prison with a bail figure reportedly set at $US1 million.
