Powderfinger’s Darren Middleton Announces Album & Tour

The creative juices are flowing again!

More Darren Middleton Darren Middleton Profile

Former Powderfinger guitarist Darren Middleton was said to be in a bit of a “creative and emotional wilderness” after the band ended back in 2010, but after a move to Melbourne he began to find an outlet in producing records for others, which in turn inspired him to begin writing some solo material.

Enough material was generated for a full album and today he announces the release of Translations on Friday 1 November, as well as a short and intimate east coast tour.

Being such a huge part of the Australian music industry for so many years, it's unsurprising that Middleton has brought a few friends on board to help flesh out the songs on the record; his old band mate Bernard Fanning, Jet's Nic Cester, Clare Bowditch, You Am I's Davey Lane, Pete Murray and Stonefield's Amy Findlay all lend a hand on the new release.

Check out the first single from it, Let Go, right here.

You can catch him playing the below dates. Tickets are on sale from noon this Friday.
