The creative juices are flowing again!

More Darren Middleton More Darren Middleton

Former Powderfinger guitarist Darren Middleton was said to be in a bit of a “creative and emotional wilderness” after the band ended back in 2010, but after a move to Melbourne he began to find an outlet in producing records for others, which in turn inspired him to begin writing some solo material.

Enough material was generated for a full album and today he announces the release of Translations on Friday 1 November, as well as a short and intimate east coast tour.

Being such a huge part of the Australian music industry for so many years, it's unsurprising that Middleton has brought a few friends on board to help flesh out the songs on the record; his old band mate Bernard Fanning, Jet's Nic Cester, Clare Bowditch, You Am I's Davey Lane, Pete Murray and Stonefield's Amy Findlay all lend a hand on the new release.
