The Brisbane classic-rock four-piece are celebrating the release of new single 'Pinch-Hit'.
Brisbane classic-rockers Port Royal are set to embark on their debut east-coast headline tour this September and October, coinciding with the impending release of new single Pinch-Hit.
The tune is set to land this Friday, 1 September, and the boys will set off for their sojourn soon after, kicking off at home on Thursday 14 September, supporting The Cherry Dolls at Lefty's Old Time Music Hall.
From there, they head to Newcastle before hitting up two shows each in Sydney and Melbourne before returning to Brisbane for a triumphant finish at the Woolly Mammoth in mid-October, the same locale in which they played to a packed-out crowd in May.
Port Royal released their debut EP, The Express, in May last year, and have been keeping busy with live and recorded pursuits ever since. They caught our ear in a big way back in March with their recent single Get Heavy, which is, as we crowed at the time, "a scorching homage to the likes of The Rolling Stones and The Beatles, stuffed to the brim with youthful energy, adventurism and reckless abandon".

Their upcoming single boasts a fitting title given the band's recent line-up rejig, welcoming new guitarist Taine Josephson to the fold after his predecessor left the band during recording sessions on Get Heavy.
"The content of the song very much refers to getting up out of a slump and making something of yourself and not making excuses," they said in a statement.
Keep your ears peeled for Pinch-Hit when it drops later this week, and head to theGuide for all the details on the upcoming tour.
