Music on the move!
The Port Fairy Folk Festival is right around the corner, and organisers are putting the final touches on the diversity of entertainment on offer to ensure fans of all ages are sated no matter their size or location among the festival.
How's that? Well, by introducing an accomplished array of roving and children's entertainers to keep the ebullience flowing across all generations and in every nook and cranny on the grounds.
Heading along to the seaside Victorian town will be UK street-theatre heroes Big Rory & Ochie, the impossibly agile Bikerina, the roving revelry of Chaos Magnet, circus-skills extraordinaire Heidi 'Hoops' Hillier, the surreal Giant Seagulls, the kaleidoscopic Krazy Koala Puppet Show, Tate Street Primary School marimba enthusiasts the MarimbaTaters, kids' entertainment troupe The Mik Maks, the eclectic Mr Qwirk, the risky repertoire of the danger-loving Mr Wizowski and more, including Nick Nickolas, Red The Clown, Sport Suzie, TimTim and Tina Sparkle.
Of course, that's in addition to the usual spread of music, arts, food and family-friendly fun that takes over Port Fairy each year for its annual shindig; this year's wider line-up boasts previously announced drawcards such as Don Walker, Paul Kelly & Charlie Owen, Tash Sultana, The Waifs, Vika & Linda, Eddi Reader, Dubmarine, Folk Uke, Gawurra, Melody Pool, Hollie Smith, Yirrmal and many more.
