POND Announce Details Of Fifth LP Hobo Rocket

There's just no slowing these West Australian dudes down, is there?

More Pond Pond Profile

Psychedelic Perth five-piece, POND, announced worldwide release dates for what's set to be their fifth album, Hobo Rocket, this morning. It will be out Friday 2 August in Australia, days before Europe and America have access to the LP from Modular Recordings. They'll have to wait until Monday 5 August and Tuesday 6 August respectively to get their fix.

The guys behind the music, Nick Allbrook, Jay Watson, Cam Avery, Joseph Ryan and Jamie Terry, say they set out to "make a record that captures a portion of rock music's decadent history through a personal lens."

A track listing for the 40 minute record has teased fans featuring names like Whatever Happened To The Million Head Collide, Xan Man, Odarma, Alone A Flame A Flower, Giant Tortoise, the title track Hobo Rocket and Midnight Mass.

The band has marked the occasion by sharing the official video (an eclectic mix of slow-mo explosions, samurai fight scenes and concert footage with no shortage of intergalactic cameos) for the single Giant Tortoise.
