Scot Crafword brings previous experience to campaign
Crowd funding platform PledgeMusic has launched a pre-order campaign for the new Bring Me The Horizon, the first international pre-order partnership for the company in Australia.
By pre-ordering the record direct from the band's website fans are able to access exclusive content. In usual crowd-funding style, there are a number of pricing options for partners. The album, Sempiternal, will be released through Sony Friday 26 April.
Pledge's recently appointed General Manager of Australia and New Zealand Scot Crawford has experience with the UK metalcore band from his time as General Manager of Shock. He said, “I have direct experience in regards to the importance of the bands D2C [direct to consumer] engagement in both the Australian and NZ markets and am honoured to be a part of delivering a premium experience for BMTH fans here.”
Malcolm Dunbar, the Managing Director of Pledge, added that the band's management and label “understand the power of direct-to-fan engagement and the need to incentivise and reward fans in the lead up to such a major release.”

Last year PledgeMusic struck a deal with Australian indie label Inertia. The latter were hoping to utilise the deal as a pre-order tool as well.
