American rock icons the Pixies have released a new track out of the blue overnight, with Bagboy the first new track since 2004.

The track comes after founding member Kim Deal quit the band earlier this month, and Pitchfork have been told that she had no involvement with the new single.

The track was recorded last October and produced by Gil Norton, and you can download and/or stream it below:

They have not released a full studio album since 1991's Trompe le Monde. They broke up shortly after in 1993 before reforming 11 years later.
