12 September 2012 | 1:10 pm | Sally Anne Hurley

An industrial music legend is bringing his knowledge down under.

Former Public Image Ltd band member Martin Atkins will be one of the international guest speakers at this year's Face The Music summit.

Atkins is well known for his tenure with the post-punk pioneers and was also a member of several other industrial bands Killing Joke, Ministry and Pigface. He has continued to work in the industry and is well-respected on the music conference circuit. He has previously spoken at SXSW, New Music Seminar and The Warped Tour.

Joining Atkins as a guest speaker will be Almudena Heredero, representing Barcelona's Primavera Sound Festival. There will also be a host of local industry experts at the event including Fergus Linehan from Vivid, Sydney and Jerome Borazio of Laneway Festival.

The summit is in its fifth year and is one of the most important music events on Victoria's calendar. There will be an abundance of workshops, presentations, live performances and discussions to keep event-goers informed and entertained.
