Melbourne photographer Kane Hibberd has accumulated an imaginative and impressive collection of images, which he has finally revealed with the launch of his website this week. The site was concepted by Kane with the idea of a showcasing some of his other interests, attitude and approach to his work as well as his photographic portfolio.
Navigation is quite simple. Menus are at the bottom or you can access different ‘scenes’ with your mouse. A music player has been included so that as well as looking at the artists images, you can listen to a select few. It also features original illustrations by Steven Boyd.
Kane (aka Kanye Lens a nick name given to him on a tour many moons ago that has since stuck) has dedicated five years behind a camera. In this time he has developed a distinctive style bringing a tangible energy to his images that is conceptual, calculated and visually comprehensive whether live, in the studio or behind the scenes.
After completing a Bachelor of photography at the esteemed RMIT University, he is known primarily for shooting portraiture and has already established himself as one of the rising key players within the industry. He can also often been seen furiously snapping away in the pits of various gigs around the country and has applied this intense work ethic to producing his captivating, inventive and emotive images.
