Phil Rudd's Murder Plot Charge Withdrawn

Drug charges still stand though

More AC/DC AC/DC

The murder threat charge against AC/DC drummer Phil Rudd has been withdrawn.

According to Fairfax, the Crown solicitor withdrew the charge as there was insufficient evidence to support it.

Yesterday, Rudd faced court in relation to attempting to procure the murders of two men, as well as charges of possession of methamphetamines and cannabis. The drug charges have not been withdrawn, though in the article, Rudd's lawyer Paul Mabey referred to them as "minor".

Rudd's bandmates AC/DC commented on the situation overnight, saying it would not affect their upcoming album or touring plans for next year.
