Two capital-city headline gigs from the Swedish pop trio this July
Stalwart Swedish indie-pop three-piece Peter, Bjorn & John will perform two headline Splendour In The Grass sideshows when they're in the country this July for the annual camping festival.
Hitting Sydney's Metro Theatre on Wednesday 20 July, the trio will also take their pre-fest performance to Melbourne's Corner Hotel on Thursday 21 July before winning over the punters at North Byron Parklands that weekend.
It's been five years since the band last released an album, but they've been spending the downtime well, having built their own studio and started their own label, INGRID, in the interim (besides, there were five albums before the most recent one, so it's not like you're short on material to listen to).
That said, the band will release their seventh studio album, Breakin' Point, this June, with the first taste coming from recent single What You Talking About. With the LP's release falling before they land on Aussie shores, it's fair to expect a broad setlist none too shy on new cuts when they do come to town to reignite the love affair at Splendour.
