Ed Sheeran’s hold on the Aus Albums Chart continues as the UK troubadour blocks a handful of local and international heavyweights from claiming #1.

Synth-popstar Halsey’s Hopeless Fountain Kingdom and local legend Pete Murray's new album, Camacho, were among those vying for the top prize, but couldn’t quite knock Sheeran's ÷ (Divide) from its podium, placing #2 and #3 respectively.

With an Aussie headline tour slated for December, indie rockers alt-j debuted at #4 with Relaxer and US pop punk outfit All Time Low round out the top 5 debuts with Last Young Renegade.

The only other top 20 album debuts come from Roger Waters’ Is This The Life We Really Want? (#7) and Dua Lipa’s self-titled LP (#16) before Husky’s Punchbuzz at #32.
