Wild weather cancels two festival appearances for the WA rockers
Germany’s three-day Hurricane Festival was evacuated over the weekend, with Perth indie rockers Tired Lion having their set cancelled on Friday due to violent weather overrunning the festival site.
As Bild reports, tents were destroyed and pavilions thrown around as heavy rain, winds and thunderstorms forced punters to be evacuated.
The same promoter was also forced to call off Southside festival in Southern Germany, which Tired Lion were scheduled to play on Saturday.
Hurricane was shutdown on Saturday but able to resume on Sunday with headliner sets rescheduled after emergency services were called in to help drain the site.
