Perth’s Over 30’s Receive Daytime Clubbing Event

Daytime Social is bringing the boogie to Eden Nightclub, Joondalup on Saturday March 22nd, exclusively for over 30s to let loose without the late-night finish.
Daytime Social understands that life can be hectic once you reach your 30s, with many people over 30 in Australia balancing children, work and a strict routine for years.
The idea of matinee events is a popular one. In 2023, actress Jamie Lee Curtis advocated for early shows, revealing that she’s declined invitations to events due to wanting to be in bed.
“I am gonna just say this now as a taunt and as a suggestion. U2: do a matinee. Coldplay: do a matinee,” she suggested in a 2023 interview.
She continued, “What about a 12 noon concert, Coldplay? What about it? Bruce Springsteen: do a fucking matinee! You’re old! Why wouldn’t you let me come see you, Bruce Springsteen, in your glory days – pun intended – and do it at noon or one o’clock? Two o’clock! Two o’clock matinee!
“Why are there no matinees?” Curtis asked. “For instance, I love Coldplay. I would love to go see Coldplay.

“The problem is, I’m not gonna go see Coldplay if they start their show at nine o’clock and there’s an opening act. I want to hear Coldplay at 1 pm. I think if we filled a stadium with people who want to see [a] matinee of Coldplay, I think we would start a trend.”
So, this month, head to Eden Nightclub to enjoy some time on the dance floor with your friends, which you may still crave without sacrificing the productivity of tomorrow. The event’s vibrant and inclusive space proves you’re never too old to celebrate life on the weekends.
“People in their 30’s and beyond still love to dance, but late nights don’t always fit into our ever-changing, fast paced lives anymore,” says Eden Nightclub owner Malcolm Pages.
Daytime Social has held similar events for over-30s punters in Fortitude Valley, Brisbane, bringing in a massive crowd who enjoyed the lineup of DJs. In Perth, the DJs will spin tracks from the 1980s, 90s, and 2000s.
Similar events have been hosted at The Loft, Freo.Social and Bar1, where people over 30 enjoy a drink and a dance while avoiding that dreaded night-time fatigue.
As said in Daytime Social’s Instagram post, the event features punters “Dressed up, turned up, home in bed before 10 pm!”
