Fans are upset and looking for answers following Chance The Rapper's last minute cancellation at Perth's Origin NYE festival on 31 December.

The festival was quick to make a Facebook statement and source a replacement act (local act TWERL) ahead of the Chicago rapper's missed slot, stating, "It is with great regret that we have inform [sic] you Chance The Rapper’s flight was delayed due to technical difficulties and as a result will not be able to perform at Origin NYE this evening."

However, Chance The Rapper himself has stayed silent about the cancellation on his socials, disappointing punters further by failing to acknowledge his Perth fanbase, instead joking about being "in 2017 Australia".
