26 May 2014 | 2:13 pm | Staff Writer

Three artists will battle it out for the Peak Upload crown

The upcoming Peak Festival (fornerly the Snowy Mountains Of Music) will feature three emerging talents taking the stage as part of the event's unsigned artists competition.

Peak Upload was announced earlier this month and over 50 applications were received, with organisers narrowing it down to Newcastle singer-songwriter Amy Vee, Bulli's Timothy James Bowen and Canberra-based pair Alex & Joel. These three acts will perform at the festival, with a panel of judges set to decide the winner.

As previously announced, the winner will receive quite the leg up in the industry, scoring passes to the Australasian Worldwide Music Expo in November, management meeting with Troubadour Music, publicity from Miss Bettina Media, a mentorship meeting with Peak headliner The Herd at the event and a photo shoot.

Peak Festival, presented by The Music, takes place from Friday 6 to Monday 9 June. The finalists will play on the Sunday of the event at 1:30pm.
