Australian singer Paulini will resume her role in The Bodyguard musical tonight after pleading guilty to bribing a government official in court on Monday.
As ABC reports, the 2003 Australian Idol contestant appeared at Sydney's Mount Druitt Local Court yesterday where her barrister entered a guilty plea on her behalf to paying a Roads and Maritime Service customer service worker $850 for an unrestricted NSW driver's licence in July last year.
The Bodyguard Australian publicist confirmed that Paulini will take to the stage at Melbourne's Regent Theatre tonight, while she is also scheduled to continue performing in the production throughout the week and through to November.
Court documents revealed that the 34-year-old singer held a NSW Learner's permit until March 2016 when it was suspended after she was caught driving unaccompanied.
Paulini reportedly contacted RMS employee Faletausala Feesili Viafale by text on 6 July and was told a C class unrestricted licence could be obtained for $850.
Viafale then instructed the singer to meet at Mount Druitt RMS office the following week and reportedly added an American driver's licence number to Paulini's records and issued her an unrestricted NSW licence.
Paulini's sentencing has been delayed until December so she can fulfil her commitments to The Bodyguard musical.
