It must be Christmas.
It's the 21st of December, and now they're ringing the last bells Aussies everywhere are out in force celebrating Paul Kelly’s anthem How To Make Gravy.
Its iconic lyrics and infectious melodies have made it one of the country’s most beloved festive songs, so much so that #gravyday is now trending across Twitter, confusing those who might not be familiar with the ’96 hit.
It’s become so popular that Kelly’s been travelling the country as of late with a mini-festival name after the song, the Melbourne leg of which pushed on despite extreme flooding – nothing can stop Australians Making Gravy.
Here’s a snapshot of how Australians are spending #gravyday.

As a side note, @LUCABRASIAUS’s excellent, excellent Like A Version for @triplej runs for 4 minutes and 24 seconds, meaning you can listen to it 339 times in a day. You now know how I’ll be spending tomorrow. #GravyDay

Meanwhile, in Australia, there's a National #GravyDay. I have never heard of anything so glorious! (Nobody in my family cares about gravy as much as I do. I... might be a foundling?)

I'm not gonna lie, we used Joe's gravy recipe one year and now we know why he's in prison.
