Paul Kelly Announces 2015 Merri Soul Sessions National Tour

He'll be joined by his full troupe of collaborators for the journey

Legendary Aussie troubadour Paul Kelly is taking his acclaimed series The Merri Soul Sessions on the road, embarking on a national tour throughout January and early February next year.

Kicking off with a performance at the Sydney Festival on Friday, January 9, Kelly and his band of Merri Soul collaborators — Dan SultanClairy BrowneKira PuruVika and Linda Bull, as well as regular players Peter Luscombe (drums), Bill McDonald (bass), Ash Naylor (guitar) and Cam Bruce (piano) — will treat audiences to shows in Mossvale, Hobart, Scarborough Park, Tamworth, Brisbane, Adelaide, Sydney, Melbourne and Darwin, where they finish with a double header on February 10 and 11.

They'll be supported at each gig from Scarborough Park (January 17) onwards by acclaimed ascendant neo-soul four-piece Hiatus Kaiyote.

The Merri Soul Sessions is Kelly's 20th studio release, and is available for preorder via the veteran muso's website now. It officially releases on Friday, December 12, with 7" vinyl box set and 12" vinyl deluxe box set available via Pledge Music.
