Parkway Drive will return to Australia this December to headline the 2019 Good Things Festival and according to guitarist Luke Kilpatrick, the band cannot wait to come home.

Appearing on a special The Green Room with Neil Griffiths episode today, Kilpatrick discussed the Byron Bay outfit's upcoming sets which is not only their first and only shows in the country this year following an extensive overseas tour, but also their very first headlining sets at an Australian touring festival.

"It feels monumental to us," Kilpatrick told host Neil Griffiths.

"We pretty much base our live shows off festivals... to be able to bring our show and our whole festival vibe to Australia where it probably fits best is great and we're so stoked Good Things have given us that opportunity."

Kilpatrick added that the five-piece have added some new aspects to their live show since last playing around the country late last year, which he promises they'll bring to the east coast festivals.

"There's a bunch of things we've sorta figured out over there on that festival run and we're definitely bringing it to Good Things," he said.

"We realised we stepped it up a lot over there and we've got the opportunity now to do it in Australia, so we're going all out."

Good Things 2019 will also include sets from A Day To Remember, Violent Soho, Simple Plan, Bad Religion, Mark Hoppus and Alex Gaskarth's Simple Creatures and The Veronicas.
