Paramore win Best Alternative at EMAs

Pop punk stars Paramore have been awarded "Best Alternative" at the 2010 MTV Europe Music Awards, which were held in Madrid.

At the ceremony the band's singer Hayley Williams also performed the song "Airplanes" with US rapper B.o.B. The band's most recent album "Brand New Eyes" was released last year to great acclaim, and is certified Platinum in the United States, as well as Gold in Australia, Canada, New Zealand and the UK. The band were in Australia early this year with the Soundwave Festival, and again in October for a headlining national tour.
