Melbourne Music Week will once again take over the Victorian capital in November this year and today the first announcement of acts who will be showcasing some of the city's best labels and bands (around 75 percent of the acts are from Victoria) and the general standard of the music community have been announced.
Pantha du Prince & The Bell Laboratory will perform the Australian premiere of their Elements Of Light show at the Melbourne Recital Centre as a part of the event, while New Zealand indie legends The Bats and American jangle pop masters Sonny & The Sunsets will play alongside Melbourne's Montero and Boomgates on opening night.
I Oh You are taking over the Flagstaff Railway Station as they throw their fourth birthday party in conjunction with the event. They have Yacht Club DJs, Gold Fields, Northeast Party House, City Calm Down, Neon Love, SNKDKTL DJs, Indian Summer and Acolyte on their bill thus far.
The Residence, located in Birrarung Marr, will host the majority of the other performances announced today.
Cool-as-shit New Jersey-based garage rock pizza lovers Personal & The Pizzas are one of the more exciting acts on the bill; they'll play Polyfest, celebrating 30 years of Polyester Records with Chris Cohen, Beaches, New War, Terrible Truths and Songs Duo.

American acts Nosaj Thing and Jonwayne headline the Espionage show, organised by The Operatives, alongside JPS, Silentjay and Amin Payne and Modular will be putting on Canyons & Daniel Boyd's 100 Million Nights, with support from Roland Tings, Standish/Carlyon, Andras Fox, Shining Bird and the Club Mod DJs.
