It's not looking pretty in theMusic Brisbane office today. Our ears may not be working today (thank you BIGSOUND after-party) but they were working over-time last night:
Ummmm… One industry bigwig just mistook Laneway's Danny Rogers for INXS' Andrew Farriss.
One punter down the back of Empire got so excited to see that the lead singer of Den was wearing a nun's habit that he pushed to the front to get a photo only to find he was just wearing a white hoodie. (What have we said about pacing yourself…)
The most talked about bands from last night's gigs: Middle Kids, Ceres, Middle Kids, Good Boy, Middle Kids, Sampa The Great, Middle Kids, Fountaineer, Middle Kids, Jarrow, Middle Kids, Gabriella Cohen and ahhh… Middle Kids.

Flowertruck member: "We're going home to pour cold water on hot rocks. That's how we roll."
So basically if there's one takeaway from all this it's that denim jackets appear to be back in a big way #bigsound16

Was that a Luck Dragon cheering on the breakdancers promoting the Singapore Sound System in the Brunswick St Mall?
The Gooch Palms' Leroy MacQueen, sniffing his armpits: "I smell manly." Kat Friend: "So do I."
Seems playing shuffleboard with phones instead of pucks was a thing at last night's after-party.
To all those people lining up to see The Saints play a secret gig last night… Sorry, it was a function for a charity called 'The Saints'. Hope you donated!
To the punter who admitted, "I have a burrito in my pocket" at Dorsal Fins, and pulled it out to take a bite… well played, girlfriend. Well. Played.
This BIGSOUND showcase poster from The Ruminaters. That is all.
Someone offered us a "doobie" last night. Did this weed literally come from the 1970s or…?
We love that two people were looking at puppy memes while waiting for Ceres to go on stage at The Zoo. We're all about those puppies.
Ric's Big Backyard's in-house music was ON POINT. Nickelback's How You Remind Me blasted out after Dorsal Fins and everyone filed out singing along. Who said people don't like Nickelback?
The morning after the afterparty when you got home at 4am - something sleazy, greasy and disgusting needs to go in this stomach #bigsound16

We're enjoying the debate about the origins of the word "legend" in the music industry…
Watching Sampa The Great, Remi and B Wise getting down to the throwback '90s and 2000s R&B tunes upstairs at the Woolly Mammoth afterparty gave us life.
