Old Haunts returns to enrapture 'The Scene' with new track

When Neil Foley isn't busy mixing and producing local talent out of his home studio, he is the artist behind the solo project Old Haunts; a blend of alternative rock with post-hardcore and prog themes, producing sounds and emotions so huge they need to be heard. Today, we are stoked to bring you the first taste of new material from the artist who brought you the excellent track 'Are You Sure this is Fun?'

All of Foley's previous singles as Old Haunts have featured on triple J’s The Racket, he was singled out in a Feature Piece in Australian Guitar Magazine and had singles added to Spotify's Homegrown and Heavy and Rock Out Playlists. A nice start to a talented-as-hell producer/muso's career!

Now, he returns after his triumphant releases in 2020 with new single 'The Scene'. Foley says of the track, "The Scene is a song about traversing the highs and lows of anxiety and addiction, while taking the listener on a journey to the other side of despair; to hope and light." This new single 'The Scene', was Produced by Foley and the legend himself, Forrester Savell, provided the Mix and Master, with the Drum performance and additional production provided by Luke Williams/Licka from Dead Letter Circus. 

Channelling influences from the likes of Tom Delonge's Angels & Airwaves, Dead Letter Circus, Deftones and Tool, Foley has taken the last two years of relative isolation to explore and deep-dive his feelings of loss, grief, anxiety, addiction, love and hope. The result is a post-hardcore dream.

Hailing from the South Coast of NSW, Old Haunts is a passionate solo venture for Foley, combining his knowledge and dedication to production and sound engineering, with his love and talent for writing and playing, culminating in his most creative, honest and emotional tracks to date.
