Nicholas Clifford's Truce Films has directed for Cash Savage, Graveyard Train as well
Victorian filmmaker Nicholas Clifford has won this year's Tropfest short-film competition with We've All Been There.
Clifford is part of the Truce Films collective, which has previously produced videos for the ABC's tribute to the The Wiggles. Truce provided the videos for Oh Mercy's Toot Toot Chugga Cugga rendition and Bluejuice's version of Wake Up Jeff.
Truce has also been behind traditional music videos for Graveyard Train, Cash Savage and The Peep Tempel. The Graveyard Train video Mummy was recognised at the 2011 St Kilda Film Festival's SOUNDKilda event and Ballad For Beezlebub made the 2010 Chicago International Movie And Music Fesitval.
By winning this year's Tropfest Clifford received $10,000, a car and a trip to Los Angeles. The next Tropfest will be moving to December in order to distance itself from other major film awards, such as the BAFTAS and the Oscars. TO be held 8 December, it is also moving from The Domain to Centennial Park in Sydney.
