Earl Sweatshirt19-year-old Odd Future whiz kid Earl Sweatshirt has announced the release date for his highly anticipated new record, also dropping a new single and video to celebrate the forthcoming full-length.
Titled Doris, the record was announced via Twitter and is named after his late grandmother, coming three years after his praised debut mix tape Earl which shed some light on the extremely talented young musician.
After the release of Earl, Sweatshirt refined his artistic focus and maturity at a reform school in Samoa, returning to collaborate with producers such as Pharrell, RZA and BADBADNOTGOOD, as well as recording guest verses from fellow Odd Future band-mates Frank Ocean, Domo Genesis and Tyler, The Creator – who also helped produce the record.
In correlation with the unveiling of Doris, the rapper dropped the third single following previously released Chum and Woah – featuring Tyler, The Creator – sharing the link to the Hive featuring LA-based rappers Vince Staples and Casey Veggies, complete with a creepy clip.
