"She brings a fresh approach to our creative activities, a unique vision, driving ambition and great personal skills."

Universal Music Publishing Australia/New Zealand have appointed music industry executive Arwen Curson as their brand new Vice President Creative, working out of the Sydney office and looking after the company's A&R and film/tv synchs.

Moving to Sydney from London, where she was a partner and artist manager at ATC Management and looked after Catfish & The Bottlemen and Kate Nash, Curson has also come from extensive experience at music-focused social media platform Crowdmix.

Curson says she is "stoked" to join the team and that "Australia and New Zealand have an exceptional pool of talent and I'm excited to be given the opportunity to make sure that talent is nurtured, recognised and celebrated, not only here, but on the international stage".

UMP's president Andrew Jenkins adds, "Arwen is the perfect person to help us implement our future creative strategy at Universal Music Publishing Australia. She brings a fresh approach to our creative activities, a unique vision, driving ambition and great personal skills, all of which will be of tremendous benefit to our artists and writers."
