Something to smile about.
If you're from NSW, it's probably been a rough morning. If you're a Queenslander, Thursdays are pretty great. But what we can all agree on is that Grinspoon's pre-game performance at State Of Origin last night made the spectacle that much better.
The boys from Lismore put on a show for the 80,000-plus in attendance at ANZ Stadium, playing their 2002 hit, Lost Control and 1999's Ready One, with some calling it the best part of the entire evening.
Check out a snippet from the performance below, as well as the reaction to it on social media.
Grinspoon were awesome. THAT is how a footy performance is meant to go. #origin

The @afl pay mega bucks for international acts that flop whilst the @nrl book good old Aussie Grinspoon and they kill it. #origin

NSW lost the footy but at least @philjamieson & @Grinspoon & @ANZStadium showed how to put on a show tonight. Lesson learned @NRL ? #origin
