They join a considerable crop of visual and mixed-media artists under the company's wing.
Sydney-based arts and management company Fostered has expanded its ambitious horizons by signing new deals with NSW musical acts The Owls and Kid Fiction.
Though not the first musicians to sign with the company — Fostered is also home to Dux, who also works as a street artist and sculptor — they are the first artists whose primary field is musical, with the company's existing roster, featuring the likes of Lady J, John R Paine, Cara Jane Diffey, Amy Ellen Schleif, Brooklyn Whelan, Tessa Curran, Travis De Vries and other visual and mixed-media artists.
Novocostrian indie-rockers The Owls come to the company on the heels of a 10-date east-coast tour supporting their recent EP Rainy Day, with the band's eyes already firmly set on the future as they write and rehearse material for their next release, due early next year.
Kid Fiction, a Sydney native and seasoned musician — who you also might have heard as Monday's drive-time host on Bondi Beach Radio — wields a fusion of electronic genres befitting his varied musical history. He's just started releasing a new batch of songs that he's been working on of late, and will doubtlessly be a busy man as the calendar rolls into 2018.
