Huge Local Acts Locked In For Tonight's State Of Origin Event; Here's What You Need To Know

Here's everything you need to know about the massive series opener.

The NRL State Of Origin kicks off tonight with a stack of huge pre-game entertainment locked in.

With game one originally slated for play at Melbourne Cricket Ground, the season opener has been moved to Townsville’s Queensland Country Bank Stadium, where fans will be able to watch the match as well as some stellar live entertainment.

A live performance from The Veronicas has been locked in as part of the pre-game entertainment. 

Also joining the official line-up is a massive triple bill featuring Birds Of Tokyo, Busby Marou and Jessica Mauboy.

Kick off is scheduled for 8.10pm AEST, with a free to air broadcast live on Channel 9 and streaming online via 9Now. 

Pre-game coverage, including entertainment, begins from 7pm with all musical acts being shown live.
