Not Even The Weeknd's Surprise EP Could Push Ed Sheeran From #1 On ARIA Albums Chart

Here are this week's standings.

Having just surpassed a record previously held by John Farnham's iconic Whispering Jack​, ​Ed Sheeran has topped the ARIA ​Albums chart yet again.

Not even ​The Weeknd's surprise new EP, My Dear Melancholy​, could beat the UK superstar's long-reigning ÷ (Divide) ​and has instead debuted at #3.

Rounding out the top five this week is ​The Greatest Showman ​soundtrack at #2, Sheeran's 2014-released LP X at #4 and Bruno Mars' 24K Magic​ at #5.

Other albums debuting on the chart this week includes Hayley Kiyoko’s Expectations (#20), Kacey Musgraves' Golden Hour (#25), Escape The Fate’s I Am Human (#39) and Steffany Gretzinger’s Blackout ​(#98).

Over on the Singles chart, The Weeknd has charted at #3 again with new track, Call Out My Name​, just ahead of Lil Dicky's Freaky Friday​ which has jumped up to #4.

Drake​ has managed to again beat out the competition to top the chart for the tenth straight week with ​God's Plan​.
