There have been numerous attempts the past month to dethrone Ed Sheeran’s latest album from top place on the ARIA Charts, and Northlane’s efforts this week with their new surprise LP, Mesmer, has scored them a top three debut.

After claiming #1 in 2015 with Node, the Sydney metalcore favourites landed behind Sheeran’s ÷ (Divide) and Lee Kernaghan’s #2 debut The 25th Anniversary Album.

A sonically diverse top 10 also sees debuts from James Blunt (The Afterlove at #7) and Steel Panther (Lower The Bar at #10).
