With Port Hedland-based North West Festival set to take over the region next month, the event’s Fringe program has been revealed.
With a massive line-up featuring The Rubens, Sarah Blasko, The Veronicas and more gearing up for the Pilbara-region camping festival — running 19 to 21 August - the final pieces of the puzzle are sliding into places, as details surrounding the Hedland Art Awards and West End Markets are confirmed a week after the Sunday Sundowner was locked in.
North West Fringe will kick off the night before the festival, when the Courthouse Gallery comes alive for the Hedland Art Awards from 6 – 8pm, shining a spotlight on emerging and established talent from the Pilbara, Gascoyne, Mid-West, Kimberley and the Goldfields-Esperance regions.
The Fringe program also features the return of the artisan West End Markets on the Saturday, the introduction of Spring Into Cider on the same day, all after North West Skate Fest takes over South Hedland Youth Space a week earlier.
