Violent Soho, Missy Higgins and The Dandy Warhols among two-day roster of Aussie-heavy goodness
Violent Soho
The third time could prove to be a real charm for Pilbara's fledgling North West Festival, which today built on its recent announcement of becoming a weekend-long festival with the revelation of its line-up for this year's event.
The two nights of revelry on Friday, August 22, and Saturday, August 23, will feature among their Aussie-heavy ranks esteemed and feverishly beloved acts such as Illy, Violent Soho, Missy Higgins, The Aston Shuffle, Ball Park Music, Art Vs Science and stalwart US alt rockers The Dandy Warhols.
To close out the weekend, North West is hosting an evening of acoustic-flavoured tastiness at the Port Hedland Civic Centre on Sunday, August 24, featuring festival acts Thelma Plum and Dustin Tebbutt, supported by local acts yet to be announced.
Despite its relative youth as an event, North West has previously hosted high-profile artists such as Paul Kelly, The Living End, Bernard Fanning, Vance Joy and The Cat Empire - but it has arguably matched the high standard it set for itself in years past with this line-up.
