He'd rather have his balls dipped in acid than speak to the outlet reporting it.

British tabloid The Mail On Sunday ran a story this week intimating that The Mighty Boosh would be reuniting for a tour before beginning work on a film, news that unsurprisingly had the fervent fan base of the tripped out UK troupe very excited.

But Noel Fielding – co-creator, writer and the actor who played Vince Noir in the series – has denied ever speaking to the publication.

On top of that, Boosh management have said that there are no plans for a tour or film and that the planned Mighty Boosh album remains “in limbo”

“As of today, there are no confirmed live dates. There's no confirmed movie details. There's no plans for the television series to return. The album release remains in limbo,” the statement reads.

Dave Brown, who played Bolo in the series, has promised that fans, not tabloids, would know as soon as something is in the pipeline.

The original quotes The Mail On Sunday claimed to have sourced from the duo were sparse, to say the least.

“We're going on tour early in the New Year,” Fielding was alleged to have said.

“We'll be working on material that hopefully could make a movie,” Barrett was said to have added. “We want to make something great for the fans.”

Speaking to theMusic.com.au in 2012, Fielding told us that he wanted to make a Mighty Boosh film and we're not giving up hope yet.
