The mythical purveyor of catchy garage rock plays four dates in February.

More Nobunny More Nobunny

For the first time ever, one of garage rock's most mythical, rascally and utterly endearing artists, Nobunny, is making his way out to Australia for a string of dates this February!

This solo project of former Hunx & His Punx guitarist Justin Champlin has been operating for over 12 years now and has seen him release a whole heap of material on a whole heap of different labels (everyone from Douchemaster to Goner to Jack White's Third Man), each of them showcasing Champlin's incredible knack for writing amazing pop tunes and blasting them out in the kinda lo-fi style that adds a nice amount of grit to the sweetness.

Here's Blow Dumb from his latest album, 2010's First Blood.

Nobunny's first visit to Australia will be very welcome indeed for the many garage rock tragics that populate the four capital cities he manages to visit on this trip; expect underpants, crowdsurfing and killer garage pop. Special guests for each show are to be announced soon.

Friday 1 February – The Tote, Melbourne
Saturday 2 February – Lost City Festival, Adelaide
Saturday 9 February – Primitive Room, Brisbane
Sunday 10 February – The Factory, Sydney
