NO ZU Confirmed For Launch Of New Melbourne Music & Arts Initiative

The heat-beat ensemble will help launch Sugaryama

Melbourne heat-beat ensemble NO ZU have been confirmed as the secret act to help launch a new music and arts initiative in their home city.

Sugaryama, described as the 'little sister' to the Sugar Mountain Festival, will act as an umbrella for musicians and visual artists to collaborate and showcase their talents on a more international scale. Their first project will assist a few local musicians in getting over to Mexico to perform at Festival NRMAL.

The program will also team up with Polyester Records for Dijon Szechuan, which is a weekly Saturday series of live shows that will take place outside the Polyester record store in Flinders Lane. Proceeds from these shows will go towards funding for the Sugaryama projects.

NO ZU, along with Chela, Andee Frost, Edd Fisher and more will get the party started at the launch, which will take place at new Melbourne venue Boney on Friday 1 November.
