Winter is leaving
In another blow for pop culture expo Supanova, Game Of Thrones star Nikolaj Coster-Waldau has been forced to cancel the remainder of his appearances at both today's final Sydney event and his scheduled slots in Perth next weekend.
The convention made the announcement via social media this afternoon, saying that Coster-Waldau had unexpectedly been recalled to the set of his current film project, Gods Of Egypt.
"Unfortunately, this means that the remainder of his appearance at Supanova in both Sydney and Perth has to be cancelled," a statement read. "We're sorry to have to share this disappointing news; Sydney patrons who have purchased tickets for his remaining photo and autograph sessions will be given a refund at the Supanova store (VIP end)."

Coster-Waldau is not the first star that has had to pull out of the convention at the last minute, after The Walking Dead star Laurie Holden signed on for a new project back in the States that saw her cancel last week, while Morena Baccarin (Firefly, Homeland) also no-showed after "promising" a June return following earlier withdrawals from the event. Fingers crossed that Perth gets its show from June 20-22 without further loss of drawcards for the battle-weary expo.
