This Is Wild – Nicolas Cage To Star As Joe Exotic In Scripted ‘Tiger King’ Series

Joe Exotic’s dream of being a huge star is quickly being realised, with the next Tiger King plot twist coming in the form of a Nicolas Cage casting announcement.

As Variety reports, the Hollywood A-lister has signed on to star as Joe Exotic, aka Joseph Allen Schreibvogel, in an upcoming scripted series from CBS, following on from the hugely successful Netflix series about the former zoo operator and convicted felon.

The upcoming eight-episode series, which will reportedly be based off 2019 Texas Monthly article Joe Exotic: A Dark Journey Into the World of a Man Gone Wild, is the second scripted series in the works.

The other series will be based off Wondery podcast Joe Exotic and will star Kate McKinnon as Carole Baskin in a stroke of casting genius.
