As if Nick Cave wasn't busy enough touring on the back of his brilliant latest LP Push The Sky Away this year, he's also been involved in the making of a film about his life called 20,000 Days On Earth, and now we can be certain of a timeframe in which it will see the light of day.

The film has been selected for the prestigious Sundance Film Festival, which happens in Utah from Thursday 16 January to Sunday 26, where it will show in the World Documentary Competition section.

All we really know about the film is that it is an “innovative drama-documentary featuring Nick Cave”, the film following the artist through a fictitious 24 hours in which he celebrates his 20,000th day on earth.

“With startlingly frank insights and an intimate portrayal of the artistic process, the film examines what makes us who we are, and celebrates the transformative power of the creative spirit,” the website for filmmakers Iain Forsyth and Jane Pollard states.
