The details have been speculative for a while but finally, the official announcement for Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds' upcoming album has been released, along with news of their feature film, One More Time With Feeling.

The band will release their long-awaited 16th studio album, Skeleton Tree, on 9 September, with the release coinciding with a feature film screening at over 650 cinemas globally the preceding day.

One More Time With Feeling will delve into the processes surrounding the writing and recording of Skeleton Tree, particularly in the wake of Cave's son's tragic death in July last year. Cave will provide narration throughout the black-and-white film directed by Andrew Dominik.

The film will be screened in both 2D and 3D.
