Over the past year or so, PURPLE SNEAKERS DJs have played everywhere from Splendour In The Grass, Lost Paradise, Secret Garden Festival, King St Crawl, our own birthday party for VIVID Sydney both in 2016 and 2017, in Jindabyne for Oakley's Prizm Palooza, and clubs across the country among many others. Now, we can add Sydney's City2Surf to that list this weekend. If you're familiar with Purple Sneakers even slightly, you might not associate us with early morning sweat sessions, but rather sweat sessions late at night in a club somewhere, but we're always up for new things here, and after being asked to book DJs nationwide for the 2017 City Run Series, we couldn't resist!
This Sunday, we're busting out our favourite sweatbands and dusting off the running shoes, as we get ready to DJ at the Sun Herald's annual 14km City2Surf race from Sydney's Hyde Park to Bondi Beach. Now, 14km is nothing to sneeze at, so if you're running this you've probably been training for a while, but if you're in need of some last minute motivation, some new music to run to or you just want to hear some new tunes for no other reason than that, we've of course got you covered.
Your trusty Purple Sneakers team have put their collective heads together to compile a playlist of our favourite tracks to run to. Unsurprisingly, it's a big ol' mixed bag of tunes with something for everyone. From CHARLI XCX, TT THE ARTIST and NINA LAS VEGAS to classics like PNAU, SANTIGOLD and LITTLE DRAGON, this playlist is sure to get you moving in no time.
