The Picnic One Night Stand is one of Sydney's most iconic parties. Hosted by Picnic Touring and Events, the One Night Stand party series started 10 years ago, where one prominent DJ would take the reins over the 1s and 2s for an entire evening, curating their ideal and ultimate dance floor experiences. Over the years they've had world class selectors, from Tornado Wallace, Simon Caldwell, Dreems, Ben Fester, Late Nite Tuff Guy and Kali. For their 10th birthday, and importantly before the NSW lockdown was introduced, they invited Detroit legend Marcellus Pitmann to take the stage.
Combining with United We Stream Australia, three hours from the performance will be live streamed via Facebook tonight from 7pm Sydney time. The stream is raising funds for Picnic and Tokyo Sing Song, supporting live music venues and promoters alike during the lockdown period, in the face of no government funding for the entertainment industry.
