We love a good collaboration at Purple Sneakers, and this is one of the best one's we've seen in 2016. Let's all give a big what's up to BRUTALIST.
Brutalist is the combination of Melbourne wunderkind producer, LUCIANBLOMKAMP and John Hassell (one-third of legendary legends Seekae). Having met and spent time together in 2015 at a show, the two producers began sharing musical ideas by correspondence after Hassell returned to his home in the UK.
The debut of this cross-continental match up is the intelligently created Brutalist Mixtape. Completed earlier this year in Melbourne, we have no idea what to expect; but knowing the exploratory approach both artists take to electronic soundscapes, alongside this beautiful snippet/trailer (scope it below) - we know this will be something special.
Brutalist's debut mixtape is out August 26 via Good Manners.
